african chichlid bright orange fin dark brown body very light stripes on body. Not terribly agressive, when she is upset (i dont know that it is a female i just call her she cuz she is nicer than all the other fish in the tank) she becomes an ashey grey color and you can really tell she has stripes otherwise they blend in. White outlines on her two front fins and white egg spots on the anal fin

Send a picture please

Is this your fish? If it is, then what you have is a red fin borleyi, copadichromis borleyi.

no that is not it you can barely see the stripes, mostly only when she is upset and she has a very bright orange dorsal fin

Hmmm.... First thing that came to mind for me is Iodotropheus sprengerae...? Look for a pic and tell me whatcha think...

In order for us to help id the fish we would need to see it. I suggest you post a pic of the fish in question. I don't think it is a sprengerae as they don't have the stripes at all. There are some of the females who are rather non-descript in colour body but with a dorsal with some colour. Difficult to say without a pic!
:naughty: :woot: :clap :headbang2
