I have a 55 gallon fish tank and I'm moving it into my basement. After that's done I'm gonna do a DIY project. That being said, I'm gonna hook up my canister filter to some added things. The outtake tube will be put into a pot with a semi aquatic plant, then the water will travel to another pot with the same type of plant. Then the water will be sucked up from a pump through a tube going above the tank into a PVC pipe with holes in the bottom to give off a rain effect while the water trickles down back into the tank. My question is what semi aquatic tropical plants would be good for the pots? I'd like a plant that's good for filtration but also grows tall and looks neat for display.
