I am looking for a female red devil to breed with my male. He has awesome color, a solid orange-yellow, so I would love to see what the fry might look like if I can find a nicely colored female. Does anyone know where I can get one? Also, any tips for breeding them? thanks for the help

I don't have a female red devil, but was just wondering how big your male red devil is? I have a male red devil I just put in my new 110 gallon tank, and he is about 8"-10" long.

Check www. tangledupincichlids.com Jeff has got them in a few sizes

If you plan on breeding him then your gunna need a bigger tank. I wouldn't even try it in a 55 even with that size. They are vicous.

Thanks for the help guys. Anything I can put with him? Or is the tank just too small?
The tank is too small, as the fish will mature he will simply not tolerate anyone in his tank and will kill anything you try to put in there. Try getting a 75 gallon and a strong tank divider. Keep the male on one side and the female on the other until they get used to each other, chances are you will have to separate them on regular basis.

I too would suggest Jeff Rapps to get the female from.
