Please contact me if you know anyone, or if you are selling these Frontosa/Gibberosa:

I am NOT looking for Burundi or Karilani - but would really like:
-C. frontosa Kingoma
-C. sp. "North" Kavala
-C. gibberosa Mpimbwe
-C. gibberosa Zaire, if it isn't too expensive!
-C. gibberosa Zambia

  • Kingoma (powder blue face, gold dorsal fin, black blotch below the eye, only frontosa with seven stripes)

  • Kavala (Yellow dorsal fin with a rainbow like sheen, white pearly color on some of the body, six stripes)

  • Mpimwe (very blue, six stipes)

  • Zaire (The most blue coloration than any of the other Cyphotilapia, the black stipes are a deep black colour, Nuchal hump does not grow as large, Collecting is tricky because of politicial strife in the Congo, so price is relatively high)

  • Zambia (3rd to bluest Cyphotilapia, It has a very blue face, has a nice contrast of back and white stripes, Ddesn't get real dark as it gets older like the Burundi or Kingoma tyes, Zambian types that are almost identical to each other: Chaitika, Ikola, Samazi, and Bismark)

I have $39 to my name.

Then you might want to reconsider your options..... You will not find a Gibberosa for that price unless it's a 1" Zaire fry ($30-$35 ea.). You can find a Mpimbwe juvie for around that price ($35-$40). You'll be able to get 4 Burundi or 3 Kigomas with your budget. I use to breed and still have Frontosas/Gibberosas so I know what the market is. Good luck to you though.... they are neat fish.

Yeah, I knew Zaires would be too pricey, and I wouldn't want to own another Burundi, so I think I will order a few Kigoma or order a bunch of baby burundi if I give in...unless Mpimbwe really have as much personality as people make it out to be.

haha you gonna have to work with a bigger budget. If u want to aquire some nice frontosa.
