I tried keeping Hemiodus gracilis with Mesonauta mirificus but despite reaching adult size the Mesonauta mirficus (festivum) keeps eating them. They don't swallow them per sey they catch em and then rip em to pieces for nice meal. Vicious beast those Mesonauta mirficus. They used to do the same thing with serpae but now the serpae hide very low in the plants and stay there most of the day/night 'cept when eating.
So i'm looking for an alternative to Hemiodus gracilis that can withstand the festy festivum. the aquarium size is 10ftx4ftx2ft (length width height). It has 13 clown loaches with the mesonauta being the current largest fish in there.
