Hey-

I Will be adding Juvi Grammodes to a 55 as the only fish in there, I am looking for people with Grammodes to give me advice......

Standard Feeding?? Mysis, Krill, Sticks, Blood Worms, Etc......

Pleco?? Will these Mini Dovii tolerate a Pleco??

I am adding 4 Juvis (1.5-2") with the hope of getting a pair, they are F1's and I am prepared for them, I just want to make sure they at there young age will tolerate a Pleco.

Dithers?? I am using Giant Danios for cycling purposes, will they last as dithers?? I Don't want to use my Prize Silver Dollars....But I do remember that my O would hunt down Danios as soon as the lights went off, teherby having me remove who survived for theier own sake.

Just looking for advice from people who know Grammodes......

Thank you in advance........

I've kept a few grammodes, and currently have one in a 180 gallon with a motaguense, loisellei, jag, and cutteri.

I feed it new life spectrum pellets, krill, and hikari cichlid gold. A pleco should be fine with the juveniles.

One thing to know is they grow really slowly. I think you can expect maybe .10-.25 of an inch per month. Also, I kept a small group of them, but the dominate male killed the others off, so watch how the juvis get along.

Thank you-

This is the type of help I need, any others?? Any feedback about the Pleco dilemma as they grow? How big before the Pleco is in Danger??

I See you have him in a CA Community tank they could do well in a community setting??

I ask because, best case:

1,2 - Pair forms in the 55
3 - No.3 goes to my 125 CA Community Tank
4 - Goes to a buddy who has ample space for a solo in a 55.

Sound logical to you?? :screwy:

I'm pretty sure a pleco will be fine in a large community tank. I keep four plecos in my 180 (a few sailfin plecos and a rhino pleco), and they are pretty much left alone. They get pushed out of any territories the fish have established in the tank, but the tank is fairly large.

I would be more careful if you keep plecos with a grammodes pair, or a solo fish that has claimed the entire tank as its territory.

I was just going to ask whether or not they grow slowly or not because I have 1 that is barely growing. It eats a ton, gets tanks maintenance every week and is not in a overstocked tank. It came from TUIC but is growing slow

You can see my grammodes (along with my managuense) here on YouTube:

You can compare the growth rate of the two. I bought them both around the same time, and at about 2". The jag is currently about 6" and the grammodes about 3.5".

I subscribed to your youtube, sweet looking Grammy, the Jag doesn't give him any trouble??
