Found this little guy or gal at petco. They didn't know what he was other then they think he is a cichlid of some sort, not that that narrows it down. Here is a pic. Any thoughts on what it is would be appreciated.

Well I had to make a $6 donation to get it, how's that for a cost? Also what are the thoughts of raising this little booger with CA/SA cichlids like firemouths Jds and convict/blood parrot hybrids?

You could have gone out and caught 100 of them for free on a box of 12 worms - but it's a nice fish.
