looking for info on brown knifes

I had seen a paire of brown knifes and wude like info.

range from black to brown and thats why they are sometimes called african brown knives,
get 8in.,
nocturnal,
skittish during day,
able to hand feed,
cute,
a quote from red devil

they have such sweet faces and chunky bodies.

Are we talking about South American Brown Knives or African Brown Knives?

Probably African They seem to be much more common. I think that they can also be kept with anything bigger than Neon tetras.

If you're talking about the African Brown Knife (Xenomystus Nigri), they average 8" but they've been known to get 12" as well. They are more peaceful than any of the other Knife species. They can be kept in a community tank provided that the tankmates aren't small enough to make a meal out of.
