Hello all. A family member of mine's motoro pair had pups recently. 2 to be exact. Both are bat rays. I'm well aware of the rarity of such an occurrence, and was curious as to what the value is currently on them? They're less than a month old at this point, and being housed alone in a spacious tank. Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

Are they a total bat deformity or cleft lip?
Reg motoro bat in the usa prob isnt worth very much but there hasnt rely been any avail. I would guess they would go for a couple hundred

i agree with trev. if full bat it really just depends on what someone is willing to pay. could be 100-300 who knows maybe more. some people dont like them and others do. if its just a clef lip then average if not below average moto cost.
Probably the same price as normal motoro they maybe rare but the amount of people who want it is a much smaller group to sell to

belle isle aquariam in detroit had a pair brother and sister that had quite a few pups that were bat rays....as stated small group of people looking for these and prices would be around regular priced motoros
Could someone post a picture of an example of a "cleft lip"? I do not think that is what they are, though. It's a completely symmetrical separation on both sides. Does anyone know what the typical full grown size for Motoros born like this is?
Edit: Forgot to mention that I can get pics eventually posted in this thread. But they're not my rays and I don't live with them.
In Asia you would get a much higher price
In the UK a good grade marble motoro sells for about £300
Last year there was a good grade marble batman price started at £400 it was at that price for months then dropped to £300 it still didn't sell
It finally sold for £225
