I'm currently an intern working on a project to write the protocols for stingray pup husbandry. The aquarium I work at recently opened a saltwater touch tank and it looks like some of our females may be pregnant. I'm looking for any information or tips that people may have. I know that we will have to remove the pups from the touch tank and put them into a holding tank. Some of my questions are what kind of holding tank have people used? Do they need substrate or should I wait until they are bigger? Should mom be removed from the touch tank before she gives birth? Should mom stay with pups after birth? How long after birth will they start eating? What should they be fed? Any information would be great!
