Hi everyone, I'm new to MFK, spent a few days just reading many of the threads. I'm looking at installing a DIY tank in my basement. Actually 2 tanks, 54" x 54" x 30", and I want to connect them using a 12" od acrylic tube. the trouble is everywhere I've looked, I'm looking at at least $600 for a pc that is 5ft long. Any ideas where to look? :shark:

thats about as cheap as it gets unfortunatly

I've built many water-bridges. I'd make them square instead of round. Round water bridges don't look nice and the fish look distrorted when they swim through them. I'd build them out of acylic sheet, like this, but bigger-

That is pretty cool! never thought about building a bridge that way before. I am planning on making my bridge approximately 6" from the water line down to the top of the bridge. What's the thickness of the acrylic that you use? That's one question I hve before I really get going on this project.
