Hey guys I'm looking for some input on my 90g. I'm currently growing out a silver aro for my friend who is getting a 500g within the next 30 days, so when that tank is up the fish is going to him. Pretty amazing he's gone from 3" to 10" in 3 months. When said fish is gone i'll be looking at a 90g with just my delhezi and angel. I also have a green terror that used to be my prized fish that is currently hangin out in a smaller tank till I figure out what to do with him. In the past he was a bit of a nippy jerk to the delhezi which is why i ended up separating but i'm just weighing my options. The GT was nipping at the del when they were in a smaller tank for a short time so im unsure how he would respond in the 90. Basically looking for input for 3 options: In the order of how much I would like to do them:

1) Add more bichirs, I used to have a palmas polli and a pair of senegals but ended up selling all but the del, wouldn't mind re-stocking up with some palmas species and maybe a retro or teugelsi as they are my favorite species of fish
2) Pair up the GT with a female and see if he'll leave the del alone, i've heard sometimes if you pair the fish up they will kinda hang out together and it would allow the Delhezi some peace, though I am aware it could just double the aggression.
3) Scrap the whole stock and go with natives, used to keep bream and bass when I was a kid and that would allow me to cut the heater off and save some cash on utilities. Like the personality of the fish and they're fun to watch since i fish a lot.

Basically just gathering some opinions, I enjoyed my short 2 month stint as an aro owner knowing i'll never be able to house an adult, it will be nice to see updates of him as he grows though. Look forward to seeing what you guys would do in my shoes. Thanks!

- BTW Tank is fairly heavily set up with driftwood and lots of java moss, has a fluorite/sand based substrate and is filtered by two Rena Xp3s.

Personaly I'd get rod of the del and move the GT back in if he's your prize fish, and then just get tank mates he's ok with.

Little bit of trial and error.

I wouldn't keep my favorite fish in anything but my show tank

do what makes you happy. you know what you can and can't keep.

fair enough guys thanks. Basically what it comes down to is i've had the del since it was a baby but adding more polys is the most expensive option. lot to consider between now and when the aro goes to his permanent home
