My albino common pleco went carpet surfing, unfortunately, and I am looking to replace him. The tank is a 220. There is a bristlenose in it, but he does not seem inclined to eat the stuff that the pleco devoured, which is the brownish film/slime that can accumulate over time. I had a monster panaque a few years ago and he was similarly ineffective.
So, i could simply get another common pleco, since I don't mind them. But is there a more unusual pleco that does as good a job? For example (and excuse the brain cramp, since I cannot remember the name..mango pleco perhaps) what about the greenish with yellow spots pleco?
