um pacu, tinfoil barbs idk thats all i can think of really

ok. do pacu move alot? i was going to shy away from the gar, since im going to have a bunch of spotteds in another tank.

yeah my pacu constantly moves, and they grow faster than any fish i have ever seen.

I would agree with Pacu EXCEPT they can't take the cold. 72*F - 82*F. MInes 1.5 yrs old, 20'' long and eats like a horse & you have to vary it's diet.

Research the fish to see if it's legal for you too. I think it is.

thanks joe. pacu are legal, they are mis-sold at every petsmart to 20g tanks lol. i think the only fish not legal to where i am is the asian arowana. this building/big shed im putting my ponds in is probably going to have a unit heater in the building. im going to have the ponds formed into the concrete pad when its built, im planning on 30' by 10' by 3.5'. i think the unit heater would be enough for the koi pond as they are coldwater, but would i need a heater for the monster pond? inhabitants will include rtc, tsn, hybrid, clown knives, tig, and possibly something else not sure what yet, trying to figure out here.

i think for covering the tank, ill just do something similar to a soccer goal net and drape it over the top, doesnt have to look pretty if it does its job, ill probably stake it down or something.

so the ponds will be made out of solid concrete, and if not that, then id be making them out of mortared concrete blocks, preferrably the first, then i could have a contractor just do it when the building is being put up. thats really my only concern is heating during the winter for the monster, but should i be worried about cooling during the summer? probably wont get opened up during the day, so wondering if it does get hot in there if the water would still keep its cool or not.

thanks
