Hey im looking for a small desktop aquarium to keep either a betta or mabye a couple of guppies in at my office.

I probably am looking for 5 gal or smaller, something that could have a filter on it as well. I am very uneducated about small filters, and really dont know what you would need on something this small to keep a good environment.

I would also like it to have some sort of decent lighting so i could grow a small carpet grass or something like that in it.

Anyone know of good places to find something like this? I looked around online for a while but only found those plain clear plastic ones, or those tiny bowls they sell at walmart...

I was at petsmart grabbing a few ghost shrimp and i saw a 2.5 for 9 bucks, this included the hood but no filter. a filter for something this small would have to be cheap or not even needed (not sure about the smaller ones, but i imagine water changes wouldn't be too hard).

at petsmart. in the tank section, they have extremely small tanks, i suspect that they may be around 2.5 gallons. i think someof them might have some sort of a hood. you could always make a sponge filter. or you can get one of those tank kits they have at wal-mart for 10 to 20 bucks, they come with everything except fish water and plants
