So the itch has taken me over and even though my home is in no way in any condition to set up a tank, I did it anyway.

I borrowed my sister in laws 20L and it has been cycling for ~2 weeks now and will be ready for life soon enough.

I was thinking of a Watchmen Goby/Pistol Shrimp combo (with live rock of course). I am pretty sure I will not be putting any corals deliberately into the system but if one hitches a ride I'll try to accommodate it.

At some point this tank will have to be moved (notice the bare wall behind it) so something which is durable is preferred.

The point of this thread is looking for suggestions.

Edit: Perhaps a single Dwarf Lion or is the tank to small in your collective opinions?

20L wow thats tiny. There is very very few options for a tank that size, what you have to remember is that these critters are from the ocean not some little freash water pond. Yellow or wheelers watchmen mite be ok for a tank this small, a dwarf lion I absolutely say no min size is 30gal (around 120L) but recomened would be bigger so no lion in a 20L period. There are very few other options, a couple of other goby can and a few dartfish but most need at least double if not tripple your tank size. Oh and the ones I said are actualy recomended for double your tank but can be alright in smaller so you could only have one fish at the most.

I expect one fish or a mated pair of something or one of the symbiotic relationships.

I am not expecting a school/shoal of anything.

I like inverts but I want something for my daughter to get excited about as well.

well like i said a number of goby varieties would be fine, and you could probably throw an invert or 2 in as well... cleaner shrimp are always interesting in my books as they have long antennia and swim around a bit.

occelaris clowns, lined wrasses, dottybacks (be careful adding these) and even pygmy angel

should be fine in a twenty long
