I have an 80 gallon tank with 5 Firemouths and 2 Australoheros sp. 'oblongum' ... Id like to add 1-3 more cichlids. There is also a school of giant danios in the tank and some BN plecos.

The tank is semi-peaceful so nothing that going to terrorize the tank. I was thinking of a single female convict, and maybe a EBJD? Any Advice?

It may not be so peaceful if/when those firemouths start pairing up

Ebjd's are quite mellow usually, convicts aren't too bad on their own.

True... Any thoughts on adding in the EJBD and single female Convict?

All depends on the personality of the fish. Try it, but be prepared to relocate if it comes to that.

What about a sajica, Nicuraguan, blue acara (or electric blue acara)? Those are all typically fairly peaceful, about on par with what you have. I especially like my acara and sajica, and I am planning to get a Nic.

+1 Acara's are great

All of those are awesome! I'll see if I can find them locally. I know I can get the EBJD for sure and the female convict. We also have cutteri floating around. Most LFSs here only carry African Cichlids.

I currently have 3 firemouths from my off spring and I kept all male cause when their parents paired up everyone was left in cowering in the corners including cichlids bigger than them. With that being said FM and cons do well together I have mine in with HRP's (cousin to the common convict) and they do well.
