I'm getting ready to use one of my 75 gallon tanks to put some Angel fish in and I was wondering what else I could put with them and how many Angel fish and other fish. Filtration right now on the tank is a Eheim 2217, AC70 and a Powerhead.

6 or 7 with a large school of tetras. maybe some cories for the bottom, or a school of hatchett's for the top if you have a lid.

I think you could probably get away with 5-7 Angels in that tank given that you're doing domestic. All of my Angel fish tanks are somewhat overstocked at the moment and I need to start thinning them down. I have various tankmates with my Angels including Blue Rams. Apisto's, Geo's Ivanacara, severums and Urau's with no issues.

I picked up an albino bristle nose pelco last night to go in the tank thinking I'll get a second one to go in there. Had it get it since they only had one left and weren't sure when they were getting more in. We are going to look at a few more pet stores before we pick out an angel fish. I like the idea of severums but it's a matter of convincing the old lady and the kids of this since it's suppose to be their tank.

What kind of tetras would you suggest that I wouldn't have to worry about them nipping fins of the Angels.

Here is a couple pics of the pleco and the 2 Angel fish I've gotten. I wanted to get more Angel fish but didn't care for the others that they had at the 3 pet stores we went to today. I also picked up a clown pleco but can't seem to catch him out and a bout to get a clear picture of him

you can try lemon tetras. they are very peaceful and get along fine with my discus. don't judge them by the way they look at the lfs. here are my lemons after a few months in my tank.

Yeah those took 100x better than any I've seen in a pet store. Those might be doable. I had to convince the kids that we were not getting blueberry or the strawberry tetras yesterday that we saw at one pet store.
