So I have an 8x3x3. I'm looking for some advice.

I love green terrors always have they are just beautiful fish. Ide like to have a nice big cichlid tank. I would like to build it around GTs.

I guess my first question how many GT could go in a 8x3x3? I know you don't know what temperaments your getting but ide be curious to see how many would work.

As well as what other kinds of cichlids can go in? And how many. Just looking for options. I've always kept Oscars, could fish like jack Dempsey, parrots and like severums work? And maybe catfish?

Any ideas would be awesome!

Being a biotope aquarist, I try to keep fish together that come from the same water parameters, and share the same geographic habitat, and area.

Since JDs and other Central Americans come from hard, high pH waters (7.5 and above) in places like Mexico,..... to me this means that Green Terrors being from the neutral pH (7), softer , clear waters in rivers west of the Andes don´t belong with them.

And since the lower pH, (7 and below) even softer, tannin stained waters east of the Andes are quite different than those west of the Andes ,
are aso quite different, to me oscars and other eastern South American cichlids would not be apropo.

Below is a link to fish that would be naturally found in similar waters to GTs
