I've got my Clown Knife and I am picking up my Florida Gar tomorrow. I am also planning on picking up an Ornate Bichir soon, just waiting for a good deal.
I need to figure out what else to put with these 3. The CK is still only about 5'' so he is hiding all the time. I want some fish that will be active but not bother the CK or the Gar but also not pushovers and get eaten. I have the chance to pick up tomorrow for free, 2 Convicts, 2 Green Terrors, 2 Silver Dollars, and a Pleco.
I am unsure about the GT, I had a JD when I had my 90 and he took off my Paroons head. Convicts are ok but I'm not sure I want to limit myself on dull colored fish. I think the SD's (5'') would be nice to look at but I am aware Gars like silver fish so they might get attacked. Also I've heard Pleco's may not be a good idea with Gar....should I take any of these fish? Or should I look into something else? I like the Striped Leporinus but I don't know anything about them?
Any opinions?
