I have a healthy 16 inch silver arowana. What would you guess he is worth? He is captive bread and eats hikari pellets. No eye droop or anything. Looks great and is very active.

NOT CURRENTLY FOR SALE.

JUST TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT HE IS WORTH

if you are looking to sell it you wont get more than 50 bucks give or take. Silvers are less valuable than other and larger ones lose value or dont gain any. People have been giving away thier silvers. just my opinion.

The fact that he eats pellets, and have no DE is very rare to be seen in silver at that size. I would personally pay $100-$125.

my Silver has no DE lol and hes bright silver and straight strong barbels and eats almost everything how much is he worth?

Guys get your silvers to 20 plus inches without DE, then maybe that would add to the value. Sub adult silver aros without DE is not that rare.

Pyro, the value of your aro will be determend by you and a buyer. $50 bucks would be a good estimate, though as you can see above someone is willing to pay more. But it is not likely he is really willing to buy it.

If I had the money and there was one in my area for that price I would. Also forgot to mention, reason why is because in my area, you hardly find any good looking silver at that size AND if you do they cost over $200 a piece......

there is my buddy 'hobo'

Why is it missing 30% of it's dorsal fin? Tail looks as if it had been injured also.

Actually its much much better and getting better every month..

When i bought it, the day after i got it, i noticed it. It got worse and worse for about a week... The water was perfect the entire time, water changes, ect. I posted here about it and over time we got it fixed up.

I presume there was something from the store that the fish had, and then the stress of changing tanks.

The fins have been healing great and should be back soon.

Hence his name 'hobo' when i got him his fins became tattered and disgusting.

I presume in a few months his fins should be completely recovered. He is very active, and eats pellets like no other.
