Think you might want to look bigger for tank mates. Something in the 3'-4' range. Seeing as that's how big your tsn will get.

hmmm i guess the TSN will b moving out when h grows big
so try the planetcatfish.com you might get a better selection

If you want a tank mate at all, necro is right. When the TSN is still a juvenile and growing fast, it is not as much about maximum size, but growth rate. You need to get a fish that will grow ATLEAST 1 inch a month. When your TSN is larger, you need something that will match it in growth rate and top off at 3-5 feet

maybe an oscar, but even that is risky

right now i have a 12"perruno in with my 24" tsn with no problems. my tsn, tsn x rtc, and niger are all hand trained and refuse to eat anything unless it's in my hand. just because i was curious once i threw in about two dozen comets to see what would happen. two weeks later i was down to a dozen and a half because 6 died. neither of the three fish would touch them untill i grabbed one of the comets by the tail. then they'd just go crazy and devour them.

LMAO

Anything is risky with large fish. Even other large fish. There was a guy who hand fed his 3 tsn and one day out of the blue his 26" tsn ate his 22" tsn. It's not really a matter of if it's just a matter of when. I too have been lucky. I keep large oscars and many other types of catfish with my tsn, and haven't had a problem yet. My deformed tsn couldn't eat another fish even if he wanted too. I love how they stalk even pieces of shrimp. I have 1 rtc, 1 channel catfish, 2 tsn, 2 large oscars, 1 pleco, 1 large jag, and a D. sexafasciatus. When my catfish are larger I fear for the cichlids.
