Tank Build: 75 gallon, Fish: 2 firemouths 3" (male and female), 1 electric blue jack 3", 1 jack 3.5", 5 pictus cats 3.5", 1 gold spot pleco 2", 1 royal pleco 3", and 1 common pleco 2". Looking for recommendations for 1 more cichlid that will "theoretically" work with this build.

Many would say your already full as it is, but I like to let the person decide for themselves so I would suggest a chocolate cichlid? I think the main thing you dont want to add something very aggressive that could throw off your balance. Also I think some geophagus may work well.

Interesting mix. You are going to get a lot of comments about overcrowding, especially as the fish grow out... I won't do that...

I would actually suggest adding a non-cichlid species. You've got the bottom and midwater levels covered but need for action higher up. Also, some target/dithers would help deflect aggression if the firemouths (or JDs) breed, and help the JDs overcome any potential shyness. Silver dollars are the standard call but you'd want 3-5 minimum. You could substitute rainbows if you want some color. I'd rehome a pleco or two to offset the increased bio load.

Female convict but your already at capacity so I advise against adding anything

I just think you already have more than a 75 can handle for long. If you remove the plecos, you'll have more options, but this group is going to have a massive bio load in a relatively small tank. WC will likely need to be aggressive even if the fish manage to live together.

the regular jack and 2 of the plecos are going to be moved to my bigger tank as soon as they get a tad bigger. I understand it would be overcrowded when these all are grown, but this is a grow out tank for these 3. just looking for what may add to the build as is and then the growth/rehoming should make a nice build.

A single convict, try for a male. Stays small, tons of personality, wont get bullied by bigger fish. As my oscar grows bigger and takes out the rest of the tiger barbs he has had for target fish (slowly, one every week or so), I may try a couple males to accompany him and my EBJD in my 120. Already have a breeding pair in my 30. Very interesting fish. Very aggressive but not generally unrelenting/brutal, unless mating.
