Looking to add another filter

Currently have a AC110 on my 55g and I'm thinking about adding another AC110 or a couple sponge filters? I've never ran sponge filters before so I'm not exactly sure what to expect out of them. What would you do?

I'd do both. Run a second AC110, and get two Hydro sponge prefilter kits.

Wouldn't that be way overkill?

I know over filtration is a good thing but at what point does it just become wasted electricity?
