I have a pair of BN's that I've had for years. They spawn often and I have kept one of their young uns. Their eggs are constantly being eaten by my severums. But Im very confident in that my set up is ideal for a unique pleco. Not sure where to get them and not sure of the specificity of some of the unique guys. Of course, the blue panaque, royal, and the sunshine are some of my favorites. But I really want something unique that wont outgrow a 150 overnight. Any suggestions?

I would suggest the Yellow Spotted Green Phantom Pleco or The Blue Phantom Pleco since they wont get too big and have nice coloration. Also the Blue Panaque are nice. I keep two in my 120 gallon tank. Check out Somethingsphishy.com they have some selections there.

Are you looking for an algae eater? Or just a nice pleco?
I have 2 BN plecos that work very well, so I think a nice one would be my option.

really like the sunshine, golden nugget, green phantom, and even the snowball. But Ive heard the GN and sunshine are pretty fragile plec's. Any advice is to hardiness and compatiability with my BN's. I also saw a few long fin albino BN's.

Gold nuggets and sunshines are pretty hard to keep alive when theyre younger and more fragile, but after about 4" or so, they get hardier and easier to keep

The royals are beautiful but be prepared to have to clean your filter out often all depending on how much wood they eat and size .
