Listen I do not want to derail this thred by respect to the OP so this is my last time in here, I already said what I had to to the OP, his money, his time, his fish so I already tried to help him.

* Seing your discus now I understand your reasoning, they are all below average at best. Some of them are skinny and stunted.
* I have bred and rised more discus in my own tanks that you will ever own (actually I have culled more discus fish than you will ever own).
* Optimal breeding temperature is 82, anything above that will actually work against breeding.
* Yes I know where they are found in the wild, but with all due respect the fish in your tank and the fish out in the wild are so many generations apart that they have few in common.
* 82 F is what I keep my discus all year round, no need for more.

As I say before to the OP they are your fish and you do with them whatever you think is right. I am not here to educate you or anyone. It was never my intention. All I wanted was to share information.

Fare well.
Show me pics of your discus .my discus are up to 8” the small ones weren’t a year old. Show me 82 degree spawning discus. I was just giving my advice. All discus do better in warm water 82 would be the bare minimum to keep them. I promise you if your keeping discus at 82 your running into health problems. SHOW US YOUR DISCUS!!
