I will be moving in the next few months and don't want to worry about transporting my 90 gallon aquarium 48x18x24. I am looking at selling the whole thing as a package. I have one fish in it... a 14" Florida Gar. It comes with The 90 gallon tank. Two hoods on each side. A black wooden stand with an access door on the front. A 300 watt aqueon heater, emperor 400 filter w/ 4 extra rite size E filter cartriges, aqueon 48" strip light, two air strips w/ air pump and hoses, substrate, water syphon to hook up to sink, cleaning magnet, algee cleaner sponge and scrub, dechlorinator, 4-5 $20 decorations and piece of driftwood, Hikari Sticks, prime, rid ich, nets, medications, ph testing kit and more. I want to know what all of this would be worth to put on craigslist... I don't want to be lowballed I know how much everything cost me and I want to come out ballpark around that maybe take a $100 blow... and I also don't want to put some stupid expensive price up.

WHAT DO YOU THINK WOULD BE A FAIR BUT STILL COMPETITIVE SALE PRICE???

This is how I would price it out.

90 gallon tank - $90
Hoods, stand half of what they currently retail for.
Heater, nothing. Used heaters are unreliable, more prone to burning out or sticking on, not really worth anything.
Filter, and cartridges, half of what they currently retail for.
Light strip, half of retail at max. Light strips can be picked up pretty cheap for the savvy shopper.
Air pump, decorations, open products, are not really worth anything. Air pumps and decorations might not suit the new tank owner, why would someone pay for an item they never would have purchased to begin with.

I would take all this and price it out from there. You will be taking far more than a 100 dollar blow.

I don't think you are accurate at all in pricing... Heater is 3 months old so I believe it is worth half... Decorations go for sale on here along with driftwood all the time so not worthless... $90 for 90 gallon is pretty fair. Stand for 50% sounds fair so just tank and stand your looking at $175... More than half of what I paid for all of this... Any other opinions out there?

Just my 2 cents, unless you bought it 2 days ago and all warrantys are transferable. Take 50% off.

If its all pristine and all warantys are transferable you may be able to get some better coin. But looking for only a $100 loss on that many purchases, especialy in this hobby would be rare.

The biggest problem is the fact that you will find a bigger tank for alot less then what your asking if you only want that $100 loss and would probably just sit on CL till long after you move.

Yeah but I bought used also... It's not like you are going to take 50% off every time you resell something also... So maybe $100 was a little understated but it really shouldn't have to be that big of a loss if I bought most of it used... So total price for everything $400 sound fair or too much? In total I would say I have spent $700...

I would really be surprised if you got 400 out of it

Really $150... Go to Maine Craigslist and look up aquarium with a $150 max... All you will find is maybe 40gallon setup... 55 full setups like mine is go for $275 all the time... Don't know where your from but your lucky

South Florida probably has a lot more aquarium hobbyists than Maine does though, so there will be less demand for used tanks since there are so many. Where I live it seems really divided, but I recently bought a 90G Acrylic tank on a stand w/ lights for $200. I got my 75 for $100, and I bought a 220 for $250 and re sold it for $430 less than two weeks later. It really depends on who is looking I guess.
