I'm going to upgrade tanks soon, and to be thorough I'll list what I have:

65 gallon (36" x 18" x 21")
8" Oscar
6" Jack Dempsey (male)
5" Jack Dempsey (female)
5" Green terror (sex unknown)
2 x 6" plecos
4" Pictus Catfish

anyway, I'm looking to get a new tank for them, as it appropriate because they are definitely growing, i had initially planned on a 120-125 gallon, but now I'm thinking a 180.. so my first question is, which do you all thin I should look into, teh 120 or 180.

in addition to that I plan on geting another Green Terror (hopefully male) of roughly the same size or slightly bigger, in replacement for the one that passed away due to the presence of my red zebra that is no longer in teh tank

my second question, I'm looking for the best bang for the buck tank/stand combo as far as $$$ goes, I'm located in PA, so if I have to drive somewhere, thats fine, if someone will deliver, thats also fine... just looking for suggestions from seasoned pro's ;-D :feedback:

i like the shape of this one

180 gallon wide #1

180 Gallon wide #2

now the question is, a stand... and filtering.. I currently have an Aquaclear 110 doing the job in the 65, but teh HOB filters dont seem to be up to par with the canisters, so I need suggestions in that area also...

bigger is better in this case buy the biggest tank you have room for and can afford. i would give this same advice to anyone. kids with live bearers or ciclidophiles . longer is beter than tall because it provides more space as ciclids can maintain a big territory

I agree with YourMyLunch

personaly.. i would call glasscages. and see if you can go wider.. and take off the hight.
kind of like mix and match the l x w x h for around the same price..

built a wet/dry... i just built one.. it was so easy

There was a story on CBS' Sunday Morning about a web site called Craigslist. It ranks as one of the top ten web sites in the country. It gets about 2.1 BILLION hits per month. It's really incredible. Maybe you can find what you need there. http://www.craigslist.org

 dirty old man.

My significant other just got his tank from glasscages Saturday afternoon.
We picked it up at the expo in DC.
Nice tank.
It's 24 inches wide, it's pretty sweet.:)

thanks all, someone's gonna have to educate me on this wet/dry filter thingy....

I am needing the info :-P
