hi I'm new too this forum it looks and feels very good! too my post I'm a crabber and fisherman. I'm only 14 and my mom said shed by an aquarium so i could put a crab in it. some people have told me that 50 gallon bristle water tank is good for a crab. i know crabs eat EVERYTHING so is it possible too put other fish in it? looking too ch etch a 1 inch jimmy and put him in (sorry dnr i know thats illegal) and grow him for as long as possible. if been looking at aquariums for the past 15 minutes and i noticed a HUGE price range of them $50 - $300 why is there a price difference? and what are the upkeeps too keep a crab. He some of you have HUGE fish that look aw some ya thats a little too expensive for me :) what are some of the things i need too look for too buy an aquarium too keep a crab in? i hope too learn as much as possible from you all. hoping too in the future get an aquarium too put some exotic fish in. thanks you all.

I think you need to go for the invert forum:D Be worned however that most crabs are way more sensitive than fish and most part you will come across are brackish to marine species. The easiest crab for you would be a native from were you live, free water, no heat needed pretty easy:popcorn:

how do i switch this too different part? i just noticed that and i went back too try and report and start new topic. cant find the report button. thanks. I'm from Maryland and its the blue crab. thats the one I'm thinking of getting. i can just ch etch one and throw it in the tank :p but I'm starting too rethink it and maybe get a fish? allot of people has said that they destroy everything in there path after they get 6inch. very destructive.

As long as the water conditions match, go for it.
it WILL kill any fish you put in there though.

it will kill me if it has the chance :nilly::WHOA:
but ya it would I'm probably not going too get a blue crab but i want one and when i do get one what is the minimum size tank i need for just one? they can get up too 12inch but usually 9 are a allot of state records for checking. and can you put a cage around the filter so Jimmy doesn't destroy it? i know people that have had theres destroyed.

I thought about this a while back about putting blue claws in a tank. Never could find out what the water conditions had to be so I gave up.

I am also a member of the bluecrab.info forum. Good to see another member on here.
