Looks like a pointy pleco - ID Please

LFS couldn't remember the name, started with an M i believe. Pretty cool fish though, never seen one before. No I see it in my tank but don't know what to call it

Googled Farlowella. Think it might be a 'Royal Farlowella' (Sturisoma panamense). Are they like normal algae eaters or more like catfish?

They are Loricariids (in the same family as plecos), so not closely related to algae eaters, if you're referring to species like the Chinese algae eater. And yes, they are catfish.

Common name is 'twig catfish' I believe
