Please could someone tell me how many cubes of frozen blood worms I should feed to our new fire eel. She is 22 inches long, in a 200 gal. tank and did not eat for over 10 days when we first got her. However thru trial and error we found she loves frozen blood worms. thanks

oh yes earth worms, cricketts, ghost shrimp.....I could go on but will not. She did not eat that I know of for at least 10 days but boy does she love these cubes.. But what about her taking them frozen,, is that a prolbem

My 20" fire eel was a complete guts, two cubes of bloodworms would barely constitute a snack. Try get it eating something cheaper like chopped shrimp.

As much as she will eat in one minute is bout what I would say. 2 cubes is not very much. I have a few 16" TT eels one eats 2-3 market shrimp 60count size every night but the other one in a different tank is a pig and eats 7-8 market shrimp 60count plus a couple of cubes of blood worms.

Mine was about 2 ft. and over 10 years old and only ate live tubifex and, would eat the feeder cone dry. then go dig the tank up...
I do not understand what you mean by market shrimp??? Thank you for all the input I really appreciate it. She has had 6 cubes today and is doing her wiggle dance at me. When i go to fed my blood parrots their crisp she just about takes my fingers off and then realizes that she does not like that. I will continue to offer her other things but the earth worms were the worst and she was not interested in eatting them she just pushed them around and then left them and the darn catfish would not even think about eatting them. What about meal worms?? Anyone? Thanks again,
market shrimp is shrimp or prawns from the grocery store.raw is best with the head and tail removed.
