Lophiosilurus alexandri (pacmans)

I have a question on these particular species.. Lophiosilurus alexandri (PACMAN CATFISH)
Can anyone tell me how to vent these fish? i have a couple that are 18in or so. which im trying to sex in order to start my breeding project.
Obviously, with all fish, all we have to do is take it out of the tank and flip it over & look below, but im trying to find an easy way out without stressing them out.
also, some tell me, that u can tell by it's anal fins / tail shape? Is this true?
All help, opinions, & advise are welcome! Thanx in advance!

Doesn't seem so. Planet Catfish lists sexing them as "unknown".

what do you mean? these species have been bred in captivity before...
is there a link that you can provide with clarification? thanx in advance..

Check out WW under the catfish section for more info. There are only two members that I know of on this site who even have them. Neither have bred them.

I used to have them years ago, but I don't remember the specifics on sexual dimorphism I wish I could be more help right now, but I can't find the article.
