I would think that one would work. The Ptery are pretty hardy plecs and have seen them with some large aggressive types. The bad thing about them is the poop! LOL

I only suggested the Royal or Water Mellon because they too are fairly aggressive! Plus they look sweet. They usually know what to do about mean fish!
