Lose of appetite

Any ideas what could cause it he's been feed on pelts a small amount daily even tho his is 9" I do this cuz he has many dithers n the tank perams have not changed n are in range temp is. 80 I feed sinking pellets and have medium size sand in the tank he picks up the pellets n spits them out till he get sand away could he still b stopped up or something hasn't touched pellets or fillets in over a week but has normal color and no odd behaviors

My guess he is snatching up some dithers during night or when your not looking, live food and pellets are 2 extremely different eating preferences!.


Don't offer food for a few days, make sure all un eaten food is cleaned out and throes some pellets in, if he doesn't take wait 4 more days, repeat. Mine get fed 2-3x/week.
