When your clown loach gets ick dont take them out of a tank to another as that will just make things worse, instead you should dose the tank that they are in already with good medicine. I recommend Waterlife Protozin that stuff has never ever let me down, never lost a fish with ick before. See it early and dose it asap.

I would quarantine them first, but if you can't or don't want to, gradually raise temps to 85 or 86F before adding the loaches and leave it there for the first week or two (assuming your other stock will tolerate warmer temps).

I was going to suggest setting up a little tank to quarentine them at 88 degrees and add teaspoon salt per gallon.

But... that wouldn't work because ich is still present in your planted tanks and will take hold again. Dont use meds that will kill your filter, eventually your plants, and stock. I would just add a little more heat and salt then try again after a couple weeks.

quarantine them as noted or use API super ich cure and take out any carbon in your setup.

This product has pulled mine through mulitple heater failures during winter and does NOT kill beneficial bacteria.

Just be careful and read the instructions, do not over dose them.

Buy three to begin with then add one by one afterwards if the first three are doing well.
Make sure the tank is low stressed when introducing the loaches.
(Lights off, aquarium salt already dissolved in water, high temp, etc.)
As stated before, high temperature (85 and up) and aquarium salt.
Medicine isn't as effective and is more dangerous than the above.
