Loss of a Congo Tetra

I felt gutted today. I came home to find that I one of my congo teras has died. Water quality is good and all of the fish are feeding well.

One the plus side I have had her for seven years and she is part of the shoal that came over to my current tank. There are 4 remaining in the shoal, consisting of all females. I have no plans to replace the shoal in the future.

dayum...that sucks.
no monsters or anything,but i would feel the same way if ANY fish i kept for 7yrs died on me....

Sorry for your loss I had 2 different shoals that did good for some months, but the couple times I did a normal water change (50% instead of 25%), they all ended up dead within a few days. I just assumed that they're on the sensitive side when it came to water changes. They were the best community I've ever had.

I have managed to recover the fish. It did not have any signs of injury or illness, so thankfully it must have been of old age.
