I have a few questions regarding raising oxygen levels when raising the tank temp to 82-84 to combat Ich.

I recently purchased some fish, that I noticed after the fact, have Ich. After an hour or so of the temp being 81ish, Ive noticed the fish breathing harder. I have a 265 and 2 Hydro Koralia #4s (1200 gph I believe). Ive turned the power heads upwards breaking the surface from one end to the other.

By doing so, will this help oxygenate the water more? I know that higher temps hold less oxygen, so Im trying to combat this.

Thanks!

absolutely, that should help . . . the key is to agitate the surface of the water, and what you're doing should accomplish that

Ok, thanks for the answer. Yea, it looks like 2 small ground springs bubbling up because I have them so close to the surface of the water.

Some powerheads have venturies, if yours do then using them to suck in some air will help agitate the surface area some more. You could also drop an airstone in to create a little more turn over.
