found the smallest and most stable AT i have dead earlier....he was wedged behind my internal fluval. im really not happy, ive recently taken out the hiding places to try and bring them out more, but its made them super skittish and is probably the cause of him hiding and getting stuck:(

Seems like the most likely explanation. They like to hide and when they have more hiding spots available to them, they seem to actually come out more. Sorry for your loss either way.

Sorry to hear about your dat....Silvers are usually the most active and outgoing of the dats, other than the ST.Did you keep your lights on after removing the hiding places, that could have caused him to seek shelter untill he got used to being in the open. Most keepers have good results once they remove the hiding spots as the dats eventually get used to it and start to move about the tank.

well the hiding places had been removed a few days earlier, so they'd had a few days to get used to the change, they're not adjusting to well though as they are still quite skittish.
