Just bought a $1600 Super Red Arowana bred from indonesia last wednesday. On Saturday, as i was about to introduce a Red Tail Gold arowana into the tank, i shifted the tank cover ajar, just enough to place the fish in the plaster bag into the tank to let it get used to the temperature.
The super Red was quite curious about the RTG at first and kept swimming around it, after monitoring them for about 15 mins, i went away for a while.
20 MINS !!!!later....... i saw from afar that there was only the RTG still swimming in the plastic bag......the Super Red was no where in sight.
I rushed towards the tank immediately and noticed it lying motionless on the floor. Tried putting it back into the tank to revive it, it breathed for a while and was dead 30mins later.
SIGH.......it was a very beatiful Super Red indeed.
Still miss it very much.....
