Well, it's a sad evening tonight. As I was having supper in my dining room, in front of the 130g tank, my shovelnose catfish, green terror and oscars proceeded into attacking my heckelii, which resulted in the loss of the heckelii.

A fine fish, adult and wild caught. She had amazing colors, the picture does not render the colors of course...her name was "Therese".

There has been an increased amount of agressivity in my usually quiet tank, i don't know why. The green terror seems to have changed temper...he might have to leave the tank for peace to return. Anyways, wanted to share :(

Sorry to hear that....was a very nice fish:(

i love threafin acaras! simply one of the best looking fish1 i have one thats better than any pics ive ever seen!

id never keep mine in a tank with a GT though. to be honest im suprised he lasted any length of time. im betting he didnt have any fin extensions

Driftwood and Danny Boy: Fins were fine, he was top notch. Had them in the same tank for over a year, everything was good. Peace. You would think that I would have moved them if something would be wrong...lol.

One minute they are best buddies, the next he kills her. You can put that under trial and error that worked, but turned bad in the long run. Would would have known...nobody that's who.

I'm sorry to hear that. I remember when I lost my female heckelii, but that one was not as big and beautiful as yours.
