When I first started keeping "monster" fish, I remember seeing an internet picture of an absolutely goliath male Umbee swimming past a grown man's arm and saying to myself "That's what I want".....R.I.P. Hercules....

sorry for your lose, is hard when you lose an old one...

I know how you feel I just lost the guy in my avatar.

Sorry for your loss. Any cause of death? If you don't know, it might be beneficial to other umbee/cichlid keepers, if you found someone to do a necropsy on him. I have a friend here (Modest Man) would be willing. But I guess getting him here would be tricky.

Did a small water change yesterday afternoon, worked my midnight shift, came home this morning he looked a little stressed but no different than after every water change, took a nap, woke up to this....I checked the water parameters everything was within range...im thinking just stress

Wow. What a beast we lost.

I would check any thing introduced in thewaterby your water provider.

One thing i leatned is that Us water supply is one of the less trusthfull things you guys got over there.
