Lost a great friend, father, and fellow firefighter today

I know nobody on this site knows him or even heard of him. But he was a great friend and fellow fireman. He never showed up to work this morning. The guys went to his house and found him. He hanged himself. Noone knows the reason, but nevertheless it still sucks for us and his family. Im not gonna judge, thats someone elses job. I am just ranting as I dont want to bombard my wife with my sadness...so on to you guys it goes. Thanks....RIP Kevin E6, P1

Sorry to hear this Brian that is terrible. A suicide is a complicated thing. One thing to keep in mind is he is at peace finally. People fighting an internal battle suffer just as much mentally as someone suffering a physical illness. Hopefully there is some consolation in the fact his internal suffering is over, just the same as people tend to feel some consolation in the loss of a family member who was suffering from a terminal illness.
