lost another...

came home from class today to find my 13" silver aro dead on my kitchen floor..
he managed to fit through the smallest opening (but isn't that always the case)
no matter how careful you are, they will always find a way out

this is the 3rd ive lost within 5 months.. its seriously getting depressing.

1st one (8") got eaten by my TSN
2nd (24") didn't survive a move across the city as he jumped and hit the floor while I was netting him
3rd I found today

Now Im down to my last one (14") and Im afraid to lose him too.

Man, that sucks... Sorry for your loss..... I have also lost quite a few to jumping. I'm gonna double check any openings I have in my tank now...

Sucks man, my 7" arowana jumped Out today but I got to him in time. I feel so lucky.

I have two. One has jumped 4 times, all while feeding. I keep bricks on his covers, he's only 10 inches 4 months old. Igor is 5 months old about the same length but much stockier. He also leaped when lid was open during a water change. Landed on the leather sofa 6 ft away. Lucky soft landing. I have a wood canopy on this tank. I don't think he's strong enough to pop it open, but we'll start stacking things on it soon.
