Freak, that moment you're collecting barbs, drop a barb 'somewhere' and can't find it after searching around everywhere with your phone light.....

I read somewhere white barbs no longer have any toxins? Please tell me it's true, don't want to Step on it by accident and be hit with venom.

If it's dried out you should be ok, but yes it will still hurt if you step on it. Maybe vaccum the areas you walk around.

Annoying when you can't find it.

I once used tongs to pull one out and as I lifted the toga I dropped it again. Before it hit the sand my pbass swallowed it and it got stuck. In his mouth.
It was a nightmare getting it out

yes it is Friday the 13th, I refuse to go to work or leave the house on this day, the phobia by its real name? [h=1]Triskaidekaphobia!!![/h]

if I'm correct in remembering...isn't 13 originally meant to be a lucky number? and somewhere along the way in human history it got twisted into being a symbol of unluckiness?

the venom is in the protein that coats the barb so if its white it should be ok (if its white, the protein sheath that coats the barb must be mostly if not all brushed off) .
i still wouldnt want to stand on one even without the protein sheath !

if you do get stung by a stingray you should treat it like a jelly fish sting. the pain goes away after a while.
