My peacock eel is lost in the tank and may be dead,
how can I find him?:(

Are you sure hes in the tank.
They are known to be great escape artists and unless you have a tight fitting lid and no holes, you may find him on the floor!

I had this happen a few times and though I found him all dried up and covered in carpet fluff and hair, floating him in water again he soon came back to life.

If he's definately not gotten out of the tank, then they are also good burrowers, and he may be lying under the gravel, or stuck under logs, rocks etc.

he did not get out, the tank is near escape-proof but he is not on the ground, i guess he is deep in the gravel

stur up the gravel and see if you can find him if hes not there check under decorations

do you have an under gravel filter hope its fits you tnak if theres any hole in it the eel may go into it happened to one of my baby eels it died

no gravel filter to hurt him :) i'll look

I found him!!!!!

good to hear where was he and it is a good idea to keep any filter intakes covered
