I have 2 tanks.. 1 bichir tank and the other just mixed species.
1st Problem.
I bought a delhezi and a seperation net one day since the delhezi was only 2 inches long.
It was a little bit more pricey for a tiny guy compared to other fishes i bought but i didnt care coz it was just so nice.
It was the last one in the shop. I bought it and the net and went home excited..
only to my horror that the seperation net didnt have the seperation net !! only the holders !
and i didnt have an extra tank !
So i used part of my turtles basking area (for a night). Suctioned it to one side of the tank (it was diy so its submersible) and use a "board" to cover the other side of the open area and laid a large driftwood to hold it in place.
The tank had some albino sens which were about 5inches so i
checked the delhezi before i slept and before i went to school the next day. Came back with the replaced net and went happily over to the tank to look at my beautiful delhezi. Sad thing was.. IT WAS EATEN !(coz its missing)
!@#$%^%$#@ pissed off like mad !!
2nd Problem
After calming down, i went to my other tank.. looked at all my fish eating and was looking for my channa marulioides.. couldnt find it.. looked on the floor on the left and it was all dried up.. my tanks dont have covers.. just used some boards to cover it temporarily while my dad finished his work to make the covers for me..
Sad thing was.. the delhezi and the marulioides was supposed to be the main fishes in the tanks...
Lessons to learn :
1st Problem : Check what you bought from ANY store before leaving.
2nd Problem : Buy a tank cover or use heavier objects to cover a tank.
