I came home yesterday to find that one of my damsels was missing from my tank. I could not find him on the floor so I dont think he jumped out. The only thing I could think was he swam into a rock and got stuck so I searched all my rocks and still could not find him. If he is lost somewhere in the tank how long and how severe will it be to my tank?

My big Clown Loach just recently took a leap of faith out of my tank. Found him under the stand in a corner after about 30 minutes of searching.
There were not other fish with him in the tank at the time. I have searched high and low for him outside the tank and cant find him anywhere.
That stinks, I had that happen to a comet I had about 6 years ago. To this day I still have no idea what happened to him.
It might just be hiding. They can wedge themselves into the rocks, too, so you wouldn't even notice it if you removed the rocks.

if u dont see him in a few days during feeding you can assume he isnt in there anymore. shouldn't hurt your stock as long as you have a decent clean up crew, they'd have a damsel broken down quick
