I have a 170 litre tank with 5 clown loaches, 1 bulldog plec, 5 cardinal tetras and 5 neon tetras. I would like to get a few new fish that will go well in this tank with my exsiting fish but I have ran out of ideas on what to get. I don't want angels, guppys, mollies or gouramis as I have had a few of them in the past. Any ideas?

Platys, Rainbow fish (dwarf neons / threadfin varieties) Keyhole cichlids (they are peaceful), Kribensis, Rams, Panchax; few ideas of roads you could go down, hope that helps a bit.

I personally love rams, Id get some german rams. what about glass fish or something?? or you could get more loaches! haha I love loaches too. you cant really get anything crazy because of the tetras. And since you already have my fav, the pleco yea your kinda limited :(

I was gonna say Rams as well! Looking to get some for MY tetra tank once I upgrade it to a 4 footer. I'd watch those Clowns as they get bigger, I wouldn't trust them with those tetras once they get over 2-3", I lost a LOT of neons that way!
Ever tried Congo tetras? Would work well with what you have and are fast and exciting. I've recently built my shoal up to 5 and they all hang out together - nice fish.

german blue rams i assume

clown loaches are gonna get huge, though.
