he was a jumper the whole two years ive had him, his name was jasper. i loved that little guy i had his 200 gallon (which he kept to himself, refused any tankmates) with a two inch think glass cover on top loaded with cement tiles and he still pushed through without breaking the tank, i found him about an hour too late. really put a damper on my week, ive got to plan ahead for my other aros and find some kind of jump proof plan. they seem to get out of anything!

Sorry, but on a bright side it's time to make your setup a little better. I posted thread on a lost aro and other fish 6 months ago and had to restart. Outside of money spent all tanks are easier to maintain and my stock is what I always wanted. May your next silver not be a jumper
Sorry to hear your loss.... but 2 inch thick glass cover is really thick n heavy... I'm just perplexed at the silver aro's strength!!

sorry for your loss bro, almost quit when I came home from vacation and my largest silver had jumped out.

i too have a 26" silver aro...and it never attempt to jump out. i don't have cover either...maybe having a tank mate make him at ease.
