Saw my motoro alive this morning then I cleaned tank and moved the bioballs in the filtration then the water turned cloudy an hour later I saw her flipped over.. dunno if im already desensitized or just hasn't sinked in. Probably will hold on getting another and just concentrate on my pair..

She died at 7"...

did you isolate the wet/dry/sump from the tank while doing the filter cleaning?

The disturbing of the bio-balls will create a massive spike and if there is sediment buildup it would also release any anaerobic gas pockets which would kill instantly.

And that's what happened...

Just needed to get some of the bioballs from the bottom of the sump for transfer then poof, a cloud of ammonia.. I'm hating myself for doing that, gonna change out the bioballs for K1 when I get the chance... less of the debris hanging onto the media unlike bioballs
